Privacy Policy
How the Guild platform collects, uses, protects, shares, and retains information for registration, verification, participation, and digital member services.
This page supports transparent public access for members, visitors, and Google OAuth verification.
At a glance
Inspired by the public privacy posture of the Pentecost Workers' Guild website and adapted to the current member platform's account, OAuth, directory, communication, marketplace, and administration workflows.
Google OAuth may be used to help you sign in with your name, email address, and profile image.
Directory and profile information is shown according to verification status, role permissions, and member privacy choices.
Administrative, verification, messaging, reporting, and audit workflows are controlled through role-based access.
Pentecost Workers' Guild is a Church of Pentecost Guild platform that supports registration, verification, member participation, programmes, professional guild activity, announcements, opportunities, marketplace listings, community communication, and administrative coordination.
This policy explains how the platform collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains personal information when visitors, members, coordinators, and administrators use the website and related digital services.
We may collect account information such as name, email address, phone number, profile photo, Google account profile details used for OAuth sign-in, passwordless or email authentication details, and registration status.
We may collect membership and Church-structure information such as country, area, district, local assembly, guild affiliation, professional or vocational details, association tags, verification decisions, assigned roles, and participation records.
We may collect member-generated information such as profile updates, contact preferences, marketplace listings, opportunities, event registrations, announcements, community posts, comments, reports, enquiries, messages, audio messages, uploaded media, and support requests.
We may collect technical and security information such as device and browser metadata, IP address, session state, sign-in events, audit logs, access decisions, error logs, and analytics needed to operate and secure the platform.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive the basic account information Google makes available for authentication, which commonly includes your name, email address, profile image, and a unique Google account identifier.
We use Google OAuth data only to create or access your Guild account, confirm your identity, protect your session, and help complete your member profile. We do not sell Google user data or use it for unrelated advertising.
We use information to provide registration, account access, verification, member directory visibility, guild assignment, event and programme participation, official announcements, marketplace and opportunity workflows, community interaction, reporting, moderation, support, and administrative oversight.
We also use information to prevent misuse, investigate platform issues, enforce access permissions, maintain audit records, improve reliability, and comply with applicable Church governance, legal, security, and safeguarding obligations.
Some profile and participation information may be visible to verified members, coordinators, NEC or administrative roles, depending on the feature, your privacy settings, your verification status, and the access rules for that workflow.
Private messages are intended for conversation participants. Reports, verification records, contact enquiries, audit logs, and administrative decisions are restricted to authorized roles with a legitimate operational need.
We may use trusted service providers, including authentication, hosting, database, email, storage, analytics, and security providers, to operate the platform. These providers process information for platform purposes rather than selling it for their own use.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the platform, maintain membership records, support Church administration, resolve disputes, meet audit and security needs, and comply with applicable obligations.
Some information may be retained after account closure where it is needed for safeguarding, fraud prevention, legal compliance, reporting integrity, audit history, or official Church records.
The platform uses technical and organizational measures such as authenticated sessions, role-based access controls, database access policies, secure storage practices, audit records, and administrative review workflows.
No digital system is completely risk-free. Members should protect their sign-in credentials, use trusted devices, and report suspicious account activity promptly.
You may update supported profile details and communication preferences inside the platform. Directory visibility and contact information are handled according to available privacy controls and verification rules.
You may contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other privacy concerns. Some requests may be limited by official membership records, security requirements, legal duties, safeguarding concerns, or Church governance obligations.
The platform is intended for workers, members, leaders, and authorized participants in Guild activities. It is not designed for children to create accounts without appropriate Church or parental authorization where required.
We may update this policy as platform features, legal requirements, or Church governance processes change. The updated date on this page will show when the policy was last revised.
